Top Ten Moments.
10.)Heavily addicted to nicotene, Philchiro decides to have his cigarette break in the bottom of the fifth while playing left field. The umpire stops the game and makes him put it out. 9.) In an attempt to fire up the team, GM Joe offers a free ride on Aarons Ninja for any Space Puppet who recorded four hits a game. 8.) In an all out attempt to turn an infield hit into a homerun, Joe Bush darted around the bases making sure to cleat, kick, and step on any person in his way. The blast was measured as the shortest homerun in league history. 7.) With all the pressure on his shoulders and a two strike count. Kurt Kalush took a rip that drew nothing but air. He was the first official Puppet to strike out swinging. 6.) The blunders that caused the Puppets so much laughter, often caused their opponents extreme pain. Such as the #6 moment, a hard slide into second that watched McNally drop kick the runner. The man was carted off to the hospital, McNally only a scrape on his knee. 5.) Though most of the memorable moments are humorous ones, some of the best memories are big games. With postseason pressure weighing on their shoulders, the Puppets went out and beat a solid trouble team 7-5. The win erased any doubts about the Puppets ability to compete with the best. 4.)Though the Puppets wore the traditional McNally's Softball shirt, second baseman Kenny Trendel decided to break from tradition. Wearing a pair of capri pants with a St. Pats poms shirt, Ken gave us all a reminder that some of the best athletes perform at halftime. 3.)Though he is in constant denial, few Puppets will ever forget Pat Skahans threat heard round the diamond. With the Puppets struggling, Pat had seen enough, and threatened the shortstop with the famous "I will Powder Your Nose", comment. 2.) It is regarded as the funniest moment ever in team history. Though the Puppets made a living on errors in their first season, few will forget "the throw". It was a normal ground ball, the type we would throw away all the time. However this time we went to far. Brett like a deer in head lights launched the ball over the safety fence, uttering come on Kurt, you gotta jump for that. 1.) After stumbling out of the gates 0-5 the team pinned themselves in a corner. Questioning their playoff hopes, they walked over the Slackers, the worst team in the league before the game against the Loungers. The Loungers hammered the Puppets the year before by slaughter rule. This game looked to be no different, with the Lounger staking themselves to a 8-2 lead late in the game. The Puppets suddenly found new life behind a two run fifth inning homer from Kalush. Then in the sixth trailing 8-6 with two out, the Puppets would record four consecutive hits to take a 10-8 lead. Pinegar would get the Loungers to go in order, and the Puppets recorded their first come from behind victory. Why this is number 1 is simple, it proved to the league, and the Puppets, that they could play with the best teams.
